How did it all start?
Hi, I am Dr Martin Wucher, a trained biologist, researcher and dentist living in Namibia.
For over 35 years I have been energized by studying various life forms, animals, organisms, biology, nature and the human communities that are part of creation in Africa and beyond.
"Puzzle of Health" is the collection of stories, thoughts, observations, and experiences regarding health and wellness over time.
I invite you to join our community.
My childhood was spent on a farm amongst animals, wild and domestic. There, I developed a passion for all living creatures and for nature.
Over time my focus moved to human health. The passion and excitement for nature and biology however, has never left me.
My studies started with a degree in microbiology and zoology. This was followed by dentistry. Another two post graduate degrees and a master degree in dental science completed the list.
All of these revolved around the science of dentistry combined with immunology, cell biology and the fundamentals of life. It gave me the foundation to read and understand life science and all that has to do with biology.
Informing, teaching and empowering people. I have given lectures, workshops and seminars for the last 35 years. It is my life-blood, it is my passion.
The main topics were dentistry, practice and business management, human behavior and psychology. In addition, regenerative medicine and specialized topics on long covid and cancer biology. For 18 years I have designed individualized support programs for patients and their families.
"Puzzle of Health" is a teaching and coaching platform. The focus is on interesting and relevant digital content and accessibility.
The aim is to empower followers to make better healthcare choices and to provide the tools and resources to turbo charge their healing journey.
I invite you to join me on this exciting venture. Make sure you subscribe to our mailing list.
What do people normally ask me?
Observing private patients in our dental practice for 35 years, I noticed that the average patient over time, was getting sicker and sicker, with more and more prescribed medications.
These middle to upper income people had everything and yet they ended up with chronic ailments. Something was terribly wrong.
On the other hand, the rural communities in Namibia, often had virtually nothing, had no medication, no fast foods and no access to modern gadgets and amenities. In spite of that, they generally had good health into old age, were able to move freely and were involved in their communities. How did that work?
The above observations put me on a 20 year mission to learn everything I could get my hands on, and then to solve this modern health dilemma.
What I discovered was that our modern life-style drives chronic disease and cancer. This web site is the start to turn this around.
Modern medicine has evolved since 1880. It became more sophisticated and equipped to save lives in acute situations. We therefore need it for exactly that, to save lives in acute situations. It is part and parcel of modern societies.
Modern medicine is not geared to teach healthy human lifestyles including diet, movement, mindfulness and special foods or supplements. That is what we do.
To put it simple, you can do all the surgery you want, if the body is unable to heal, your surgery will fail.
In order to bring the knowledge and experience, that I had accumulated over a lifetime in Africa, to more people, I needed a digital platform that specializes in just that.
After searching the web, I ended up with Podia. It has been an exciting venture and I am looking forward to sharing this information with thousands of people worldwide.
